Equity, Sustainability, and Innovation — the 19th AFRAN Congress, Dar es Salaam, 22–25 June 2027.
Dear Colleagues, Dear Partners,
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 19th Congress of the African Association of Nephrology (AFRAN), which will take place from 22–25 June 2027 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This prestigious event is jointly organized alongside the 11th Conference of the Nephrology Society of Tanzania (NESOT), with the aim of enhancing and strengthening collaboration within the African nephrology community.
The Scientific Committee is preparing an exciting and comprehensive scientific programme covering all major fields of nephrology, including pre-congress courses, plenary sessions, focused workshops, free communications, and poster presentations. Key topics will include clinical nephrology, dialysis, kidney transplantation, hypertension, interventional nephrology, onco-nephrology, renal nutrition, green nephrology, nephrolithiasis, and the screening and prevention of chronic kidney disease.
This congress will bring together distinguished experts and professionals, supported by international and regional societies, to share experiences and strengthen local, regional, and global collaboration. Special attention will be given to the challenges of ensuring equitable access to sustainable kidney health for all people across our continent.
