Plan Your Visit
Practical information to help you prepare for AFRAN 2027 — from visa requirements and accommodation to getting around Dar es Salaam and exploring Tanzania.
Visa & Passport
Tanzania has a straightforward visa process for most nationalities. We strongly recommend applying for an e-visa before travelling to ensure a smooth arrival.
EAC Citizens — Visa-Free
Citizens of Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo enter Tanzania without a visa.
Most Nationalities — E-Visa
Apply online at evisa.go.tz before departure. Processing typically takes 3–5 working days. Check the Tanzania e-Visa portal for current fees.
Visa on Arrival
Available at Julius Nyerere International Airport for most nationalities. However, applying online in advance is strongly recommended to avoid delays.

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended date of departure from Tanzania and have at least one blank page.
